    How is it that other characters are not getting the 1017 error?

    No idea, I tried to test your theory by logging in on an alt but I have no alts on my main server and it's locked for making new ones.

    I have had an error before when it had said my character is currently online please wait a few moments and try again, blah bla blah bla blah. So I can't really see why, especially since there are TONS of people getting this error that have been trying to login for 6+ hours.

    It could well be linked to the world the characters are on. My character is on a Legacy server and if I get kicked off during the day I may as well just wait till morning to try and get back on, those servers are just that overpopulated.
