Unable to ride FC Chocobo!

In 1.0 i was with the flames but I aligned with the serpents in 2.0. I have the ability to summon my choco as a companion(finished My Fiesty little chocobo) but not to ride as a mount. When I summon my chocobo(as a companion) he also still has the flames barding on him.

I never had access to the quest for my choco nor is the chocobo riding available from the serpents quartermaster.

I would really like to be able to ride my FC chocobo!
