why does my avatar say I am level 1

How long ago did you hit level 3? It takes a while for the SE to update your toon's level to reflect here on the forums.

It needs Time to update. Also, it does only update when you're loged off the game.

Relog and refresh the forums this should then alter the level.

If you go to settings and edit character, theres drop down things on the levels which you can click and then click update character
