You know each class has its own seperate Hunting Log, right?
No hunting logs are class specific. Meaning an archer can only do the archer hunting log.

You had to be smarter about what side quests you pick up :/
While SE will be adding in side quests later there was no indication that quests were repeatable. Just the main story line and dungeons
could have held you through and then maybe a quest or 2 here and there. I typically only do side quests when I'm really in a bind, which has happened only a few times while trying to lvl up my Arcanist from 28 to 30.
But yup until the side quests are updated there is your hunting log, levequests (you can do the leves as you do your hunting log.), FATEs and guildleves/dungeons. For FATEs you could even try looking for a FATE grinding party (I did it the other day for a couple hours. It was kinda fun even if it was a bit chaotic bouncing from FATE to FATE lol)

I found myself leveling way faster doing fate, guildleves, dungeons far faster then I eve did doing quests. To me the quests were more for lore and story telling then efficient leveling even most of the items I got from them were meh.
Levequests give about 60% of the xp of a same level normal quest, but you'll want to do the Grand Company ones for seals anyways, so it isn't that bad. You also get +50% for kills because you have a level 50 already, this can add up when you consider how many mobs you kill
FATEs are the main xp source though, but you'll probably need a FC or LS group early on, especially once the "new" shine wears off and the lower areas become less populated.
I can live without quests, but I don't think the average MMO gamer can. My biggest issue though is the wait time between FATEs, if you're in a zone where there are more than one FATE group farming them, then you'll spend over half your time standing in town waiting for them to pop, which is boring and unproductive.

I remembered doing 8 LQs per day for 2 days for a level...
I really see no problem here.
I have not touched 90% of side quests been doing fates dungeons, hunting log and main story line.
This is what I'm doing. I am saving the side quests, even all 3 city ones until I am desperately bored. I am not to that point by any means even though I've done a lot of this several times already in beta.
To the OP. If bored of FATES in Gridania move to Limsa or Ul'dah. Do Leves, guildhests, or hunting log and dungeons when you get to that level.
I mix all of this up as I go along doing a bit of everything sometimes breaking off to level botanist, mining or even another class. I haven't taken up fishing yet so there is that to switch to down the road and all of the other crafting classes too. I know with this method it will take me forever to get even my main class to max level but I am not in any sort of hurry.
