Mounts

So I got the Coeurl Mount for registering my Collector's Edition but it won't let me use it. Says "Unauthorized to summon mount". Is there a quest I have to do in order to use mounts?

Also where do I get the Ixion/Unicorn mount? Is that a 1.0 reward mount?

Unicorn mount is a white mage mount only you get at level 30 by doing a level 30 white mage quest.
You also have to do a quest to be able to use mounts, its after you join a grand company level 20 quest

You have to get a Chocobo license to be able to ride the chocobos. You will get that around lvl20 after you have joined a Grand Company(Its a sidequest that will be available to you in the city you choose)

For the Unicorn, you gotta get CNJ to lvl30 and unlock WHM. The Unicorn quest will then be available to you, and you just have to finish that to get your horise

Thanks for the info. Kinda funny they give you incentive to level CNJ to 30 and unlock WHM. Do the other jobs get their own kind of mount or just WHM?

If I remember correctly you unlock the unicorn mount with the WHM, but after that any class can use the unicorn mount.
