Free Company switching Grand Company

So as the leader of Tribe's Free Company I went to change our affiliation from Ul'Dah to Limsa Lominsa as we capped our rep with Ul'dah. When I went to change it there was a fee for 15k but more importantly the text reads "Your standing with that Free Company will drop but you will retain all items, actions and authorizations earned."


Anyone know if the standing of the FC to the GC drops back to a flat zero? What about the Rank? Does it go back to 1?

I'd like to know aswell. Are we supposed to raise every GC but only keep one allied or does it actually reset to zero!?

EDIT:

We changed ours from Allied Twin Adder into Maelstorm.
Our Twin Adder is still "ALLIED" I'm not sure if it goes lower while we gain in Maelstorm..

I'd like to know how this works as well. Are there benefits to changing affiliation? I was wondering why there are bars for all three on my company profile...

Lagoz, when your FC switched to Maelstrom, did your FC rank reset back to 1 and you lost access to your FC chest item slots, or did that all stay as it was?
