Actually, the restriction is with the primary means of leveling allowing you to personally start and complete 8 leves in a 36 hour period. Yes, you get a high amount of exp in 1 sitting but once it is done you can no longer do them. This creates boredom and no desire to login. Yes you can do other stuff like crafting but you are being forced to do so in a sense. All MMO's I have played allow me to login, pick a job and exp it to my hearts content whereas FFXIV doesn't. You could do Behest all day but the wait between them is again boring and restrictive.

Once the Battle system has been overhauled and endgame content implemented, SE really do need to re-evaluate the nature of leveling and how most players will get bored like they have previously. If SE are intent on having us level with Leves then they should remove the hard cap of 8 leves, regardless of possibly reducing the exp, and allow 'limitless' exp that can be gained quicker (and more of it) with better equip/skill. If group A can do 20 leves in their time with poor equip then Group B should be able to do 30 with better equip. They would gain more exp fairly which creates a fun challenge.

Personally I would just prefer a party system like FFXI on world mobs but would go with Leves if they were done correctly. Hell why not have the option to do both. (Yes I know you can currently grind on world mobs but it is dreadfully boring grinding weak mobs for low SP).
