    High Quality Item Stat Bonus

    I would like to see a restructuring of how high quality items are displayed regarding their bonus. The star system is vague and seems to just be a hassle over simply increasing the actual stats on the item in their repective fields.

    I propese instead of an item showing stars it actually simply increases and shows it. If not, an explanation of how the star system works overall would help out people understanding how they work and affect the item. But I think new players would have an easier time understanding simple number increases.

    I don't have any issue with the stars.

    I take issue with the other stats.
    If Tang Pong wears a Cowl with MND+4, and Pang Tong wears a Cowl+3, Pang should get more than MND+4.
    Same thing for any other stat on gear: craftsmanship;gathering;output;otherstuff.

    Currently the only difference on HQ armor is the def/m.def/eva/etc, which is nice if you need those, but I really think if I want to try and be the best healer, or anything else that I can be, crafting HQ gear with MND/whatever on it should get you better MND/whatever.

    Well yea essentially I meant all stats on the items including stat bonus like Mind and Elemental Resist etc. Everything should be reflected in an HQ version of the item so people aren't confused on what the high quality bonus gives.

    Agree stars need to go and actually stats differences need to be added, its very lazy SE.

    FWIW I think someone said each star is a 6% increase in def/mg.def/Eva/res, these stats are pretty useless for anyone who isn't going to tank.

    Each star is 5%, rounded up to the nearest whole. While good for gear that has a high base defense, (for example, a hypothetical iron plate mail with a base defense of 100 would have 110 def as a +2HQ), it matters less for items with less base defense, like rings (hypothetical 10 defense ring would have a whopping...11 defense as a +2)

    Yep. If the stats on items like accessories are not boosted, there is hardly any reason at all to bother trying to HQ them.

    If the HQ effect started making a difference to actual items unique stats like +4 MND to +6 MND on a +3 item that would make going for HQ armor much more useful for other classes like you said. Right now the only reason to really really go for HQ is for tank equipment, and weapons.

    Either way the items need to better reflect their HQ affinities in their displayed stats.

    As a crafter I would like to see HQ armor items help crafting skill. Currently the only HQ items that help crafting is HQ tools. There is HQ Hand/Land armor, such as a doublet vest, but only combat stats are boosted.

    I'd like to see the stars system removed completely since they're part of a defunct beta system that got phased out. You used to be able to find weapons with 3 attack stars, 2 acccuracy stars, and 2 critical hit stars, and it be called a weapon+2.

    They should just put the numerical benefits directly on the weapon. Same way with food protect and shell. Put the buffs directly on the stats board or state their effect (eg: Protect: damage reduction 10%, Protect II: damage reduction 15%)

    I wonder if theres anyone who wants to see the star system kept. Its seems like theres no real pros to having it vs just increasing the actual numbers.
