I actually agree with you OP. For the most part anyways XD I do love the new crowded/city feel with the crowd-chatter. It does feel more immersive. But sometimes certain words or sounds stand out too much and it's very distracting >.<

I kid you not, sometimes I hear a woman making some sort of sexual noise, it's like a loud "OOOhhhh!!"
Sometimes it's kinda funny, but most times its just weird..

I'm all for a "City bg noise" slider option!

crowd sounds are gerat ! You can adjust ambient volume a little bit down, if its too noisy for you. I did...

But I only want to turn down the crowd sounds... I WANT to hear the birds and crickets...you know...the stuff I CAN'T hear for all the crowd mumbling.

People are getting damn specific about the options now. We're only a few steps behind "I want to only hear the wings flapping on flying mobs or mobs that have heavy footsteps".

No, if I wanted to get REAL specific, I'd ask for the option to mute ONLY the sound of the blacksmith's file. That sound drives me up a wall. But unlike the crowd noises, I don't hear it that often, and I can usually avoid it.

And whats worse is, the screaming and yelling wasn't even happening during a fight. People were just crowded around a Sylph NPC, SCREAMING...
