Problem leveling / finding quests

I'm level 19 right now, on Tam-Tare Deepcorft quest main quest line. I'm trying to queue up but as I'm DPS it's taking an hour plus! Havent been to find a group since then. I have finished all the quests in the area and in Ul'dah... there where not many... my level quests chains only lasted 2-3 quest per quest giver and there are usually only 2 per stop/city/village whatever you call it. I cant find anywhere to quest while I'm waiting in queue. Is there anything to do besides grind exp and do dailies? I mean WOW had an easy system, follow the road and to all quests area to area. This feels like 20x less then that, quest wise. Am I missing something???

I think they want us to move about more and see other areas...if you are at that level there are some quests south of there from the Hunt Log, at the north end of South Shroud, also quite a few over in Limsa Lomisa, but be careful if you intend to do crafting classes or other classes to help level up. There are some tough quests in Gridania, in the Honey Yard, i had to do some leveling at about that level which is how i found those but they may be too far away for waiting for that dungeon.
