To be fair on both sides: The summons in ffxi were not the full version, but aspects of the guardians, aeons, summons, gfs...w/e we call em. That hasn't changed. So I don't really know why they couldn't do like a wisp version or something a little more impressive. I get what they were trying to do..but god they're depressing to look at...and how freaking depressing was it to find out how weak the Ifrit egi is compared to Carbs?

Wow these pets are depressing! Ifrit is a pokeman, Titan is a tinny floating rock clump ect..... We need better then these models. 11's were amazing and these are poop.

I agree, the Skylanders rejects known as "egi" are indeed "Poop". Lore be damned, the pets should be impressive. These looks like toys from a Happy Meal. They look like someone stuck Red, Green, and Yellow LEDs inside of a transparent action figure.

I personally would enjoy seeing the proper models for the Primals being used, or at least a weakened version. And i don't mean the gigantic forms just a more player appropriate size or similar appearance form wise. Would be funny to have it make fun of you, mock you, complain about being stuck with you, or just overall voice your eventually destruction. "I will be free of these chains eventually, and you will suffer dearly mortal."
