I can only talk about my server but lets be honest here, if they really cracked down on bots there would be at least 25% of the server missing and i'm guessing more like 40-45%. Just walking around Ul'Dah you see ppl who have been crafting non-stop all day and there is no way they have just been mindlessly pressing buttons for 12 straight hours. SE is in no position to lose that much of their player base. The only way to prevent that is to change up the crafting system so it can't be botted or its not worth using bots. But for right now, and far into the future, there is no way SE will bans these players.
I've crafted nonstop in ul'dah for several hours. I think one day I woke up at 7am and crafted until maybe 2-3am the next day ;o TV + controller + listening to when a synth is done on something you can't fail is an easy way to craft!
