it isnt legal to post on the forums cuz it involves posting prsonal information of players etc etc
there is a place to do it on the lodestone/help site whatever with the task force, thats what you need to do

Oh now that you bring that up it makes entirely too much sense! Thanks for the information on the lodestone.![]()
Do you work for SE? the "STF" is probably down now but wow you're pinpoint in where exactly SE's resources are being extracted.in the end none of the fighting goig on here what lil there is, is meaningless
the STF is dowb till the battle system and job system is fixed. They have them working with other parts of the game atm since change is more dire.
Once those are done the STF will be back in full force.

Zam has a link in their feedback forum that I use to find the STF reporting. Its a pain navigating SE's support page, so I just use this.

Thank you Balbanes. This is why I love the forums! I love all the great information that we can exchange.

Hopefully they'll put a way to send a report to the STF in the game soon, it's stupid I need to go to a website just for that.

Maybe it's been said, but what you have to do is go to this website:

Write up a report along with all the other people who have witnessed the bot's activity. This particular bot does not use hot key scripting. It does actually manipulate game mechanics (long range attacking, can walk through walls, ect.) and the character can be removed rather quickly with enough reports. Since the STF is rather bare, and you can only call a GM for player harassment and social disputes, it is better to pile on many reports to get their attention.
I've got several of these characters taken out of the game by forcing others around to write up reports. Some people can just get lazy and not do it because there are a few more steps involved and unfortunately you need to basically hold their hand through the process. Yes, I agree there needs to be an easier way to report botting. However, doing this seems to be the most efficient way atm.

Nope. It's on the official website, under support. It can't be done on the forums because public reporting could easily be exploited to further personal vendettas and other less than legit activities.
i was just guessing considering it wouldn't make sence to shut down the STF for those reasons, but it is down for the reason of the changes it was in an interview.
hmmm I think ffxi STF is working on ffxiv in extreme situations. But that the ffxiv is down (just guessing) Because one of the interviews did state that due to the battle changes, the stf is down. But once the changes are fixed they will be up again.
