yeah there are way too many threads where people are arguing moot points

i mean come on, Botting is illegal in the game period. If you are using a program to play the game for you, it is against the TOS period, and you can get your account banned for it.
The devs/gms etc etc dont care if you are paying or not when it comes to this, if you get caught cheating, you are gone, period.
Sticking up for them doesnt change the fact that they are chetaing and can get banned.
And trying to justify it is just dumb.

I know someone who got their account hacked and it was very frustrating for him. He felt violated. I imagine I would feel the same. I think it is important to do everything possible within reason to weed out rmt's from the game.

we had someone in our shell sell their account
we booted them so damn fast(for those interested, on besaid server his name is Quarter Man)
we also booted a botter named The Desperado who has since been banned(we think, no ones seen him since the day we booted him)

And I agree, I got my first account jacked, tho wasnt by RMT, my friend got keylogged by rmt also, I've been through the experience, it doesnt change my mind about botters, because "botting" is not included with hacking an account or rmt activity.

I'm no expert on the matter by any means but it's my understanding these rmter groups buy stolen credit cards to play the game, they do botting and rmting activity. As far as I know they go hand and hand. Unless someone knows something different of course. It's the same company's doing all the illegal activities at the same time.

i think what hes saying is that even if all rmt bot
not all bots are rmt

but thats besides the point, breaking the rules is still in fact breaking the rules and you can, and should be banned for doing so

Oh, I see your point now I'm sorry. Yes there are players that use botting type software for their personal characters too. I think that is cheating. If it was allowed by all then it would be ok though.
