Shard prices are too cheap. There are too many high-level crafters. There are mountains of crab bows in the alleys of Uldah. All because RMT sold crafters who should still be level 33 all the shards they could eat. Cheap shards have exacted heavy damages to the economy. They aren't really a good thing.

By what you're saying, you think that because you assume we are breaking the law irl, it is perfectly fine to break the rules in-game. What was the old saying, "two wrongs dont make a right".

It is silly to even suggest that bots do not effect the game, they do. And it's even sillier to grasp at straw like justification as to why they are ok here.

I played XI for 6 years which had some serious botting issues and it was awesome, when I could sell dusk gloves for like 3m and SH for 10m. Now they like 2k lol So I cant make anything from them (even prior to cap increase)

We've already seen this with synthed items, you remember when christmas event was out and you had to make the costume, people were selling it for like 100-200k and even the items to make it for 50k, stupidly over priced because NO ONE CARES ABOUT ANYONE ELSE its that simple lol you want to make the most money you can.

things like NM's you cant even do in bulks daily like shards because of pop timers and stuff, so the price will turn out the same weather there are bots or not. And as proven by current prices bulk-crafted items gets competitive very easily and price is reduced.

Also RMT/Botters dont work tather, if 5 people go get some super rare item in a week

1st guy puts it up for 1'000'000
2nd guy comes along, okay he wants his to sell, so he does 900'000
3rd guy comes along, he also wants to sell, 850'000
1st guy like damn i better change 830'000

And eventually it goes down.

I know friend who bought like Bhaj +1 for 2m, then 1 week later its 300k lol that was prior to market ward price visible.

I bought my vintage cloak for 2m little over a month ago, it is now like 350k lol because people get competitive, weather they botted the rank to make it or not the price shot down.

Maybe if you had the account you've been playing on for 6 years hacked and all your stuff sold you might think differently. Especially if it takes 2 to 4 months to get your character reinstalled to a previous date before you were hacked. I really can't believe there are people supporting rmt's.

I'm not supporting RMT because thats not botting, its a completely different thing. Getting hacked is also a completely different thing, you dont even know 100% if it was RMT, devs from various third party tool sites got their way with accounts lol. Was a whole big thing about it in about 08.

But as said, the topic was about BOTS as stated in the title, not RMT (real-money-trading). Which should be illegal by law as its making money from someone elses intellectual product, but sadly its hard to sue for. (Even Blizzard fail suing sometimes). BOTS is just creating software to automate a process. You doing Find + Replace is an automated process. Same principles (in terms of what botting does).

I am not for or against bots, because they have never affected me, nore do I care who uses them, I play for me, no one else. I dont pay for their subscriptions or product costs so why should I care how they use it?
