Happened all the time in XI. They are getting paid to do it, so of course they'll sit there for as long as they will get paid, they have to eat somehow. SE won't ban without some type of proof that they are botting or are RMT, if a human can do it, and they contact the PC and a human responds, then they will not get banned.

First day of game release I loaded up and saw shouts, flat out SHOUTS from RMTs! Tons of people who actually want to play the game can't get in but these butt heads are free to roam Eorzea. It really grinds my gears.

Sidenote: I don't know if I used the proper means to report the RMTs I saw but I did submit a complaint via the Help Desk.

They are chinese gilsellers, they don't have any money, or anything to do otherwise. They will sit there and trade shifts while the others go sleep in the same bed that they just got out of to keep those accounts working 24/7 making gil. While they are obviously RMT, SE won't ban them until they do something that verifies that. It isn't against the ToS to sit in a corner for 80 hours straight with level 1 gear on.

True I seen a documentary about how they get children to play it for them for hours so they can sell the gold or Gil depending on game. But still a RMT activity and should stop! Botting and RMT really makes a game unbearable especially when so many people trying to get in. Hopefully SE does something about this

No, they will play on paid accounts to make Gil so they can sell it. If SE can verify they are using unauthorized tools to cheat or if they can verify that someone has paid them real money for the Gil, then they will be banned at that point. But simply sitting in a corner and leveling up is not going to get their accounts banned.

Yeah and the best part is if Square would ban just one of the accounts characters, they'd be locked from making a new character. lol Hooray character creation lock! They also can't purchase a new account key. Hooray locked sales! XD Now to get the GMs moving...
