Its funny, These bots are taking up space for actual players.

I think you can report this stuff to a GM

I haven't tried it, but it says they help with RMT and "Activities that affect game balance"

I used this yesterday on my realm to report the 8 bots in the East Shroud by the Honey yard. I included all 8 of the bot character names, the time, etc. When I checked back a few hours later they were still there. It does not seem that it would e that hard for SE to follow-up on reported bot activity. And as someone posted above, these 8 bots are in effect preventing 8 real customers from playing when the world is full. My gut feel is this is the tip of the iceberg. I think we as a community need to deluge the in-game tickets with these reports every time we see this kind of bot activity.I think you can report this stuff to a GM

I know for me personally, I can understand the server issues that SE has had during the launch and will not let those issue affect whether I subscribe or not. But the bots are a different story. If they don't address this quickly I won't be subscribing.
Sounds like bots, but you never know. Macros in this game are pretty intense. I made myself a 15 line macro to maximize xp on my crafts. I select what to craft, hit Ctr+1, and boom 1.3k xp on an elm log cut. Beats the hell out of "quick synth" xp and I even have it set up for the scenario of a failed cut. Just saying if you see me in Faerie cranking out elm logs like there was no tomorrow, know I'm not a bot, just made a kick ass in game macro.lol we had a mob of about 10-20 ppl standing around in eastern thanalan talking about them botting shouting about it i came back next day they had gone from lv 10-20 to 20-30 and stilll grinding in the same exact corner w ith their party of 4.. still lv 1 gear still no responses no talking not nothing just sitting there botting... lol how did we know.. u play the game for 3 days straight no rest never move from the same spot and lemme know if ur "just being lazy and not waste money on gear" i cant tell if ur a botter to and just tryin to mask one of the signs or not.. if ur really saying ur wearing all lv 1 gear at lv 36+ still grinding low lv mobs with a group in corners and not responding to anyone for days on end yea i'll call you a botter to

GM's? i havnt seen one post from SE in almost any thread on the forums. Why would GM's be any different?
Unfortunately I have to agree with you. However, the bot issue, IMHO, is worse for the long term health of the game than the initial server issues. But then again, what do I know.
It is not difficult to spot botters if you have A)been observant, B) spent more than a moment observing, which the op seems to have done, by the mention of having seen them for hours in the zone, C) seen their ilk before and know what to look for. If they all died together, and just lay there for quite some time before their deaths are noticed, it is likely they were bots. This is not a difficult thing to detect. No one just "decides not to waste money on gear". Even if you never buy any, you get enough from completing quests and so on to be wearing SOMETHING.

There is at least one other possibility. What if the bots are the real people and all of us (grammar??) who think we are real people are the bots in a Matrix kind of sense. What if the bots are like a Morpheus character somehow trying to get us to wake up.
Hmmm, blue pill or red pill?
