I think you can report this stuff to a GM

I haven't tried it, but it says they help with RMT and "Activities that affect game balance"

I used this yesterday on my realm to report the 8 bots in the East Shroud by the Honey yard. I included all 8 of the bot character names, the time, etc. When I checked back a few hours later they were still there. It does not seem that it would e that hard for SE to follow-up on reported bot activity. And as someone posted above, these 8 bots are in effect preventing 8 real customers from playing when the world is full. My gut feel is this is the tip of the iceberg. I think we as a community need to deluge the in-game tickets with these reports every time we see this kind of bot activity.I think you can report this stuff to a GM

I know for me personally, I can understand the server issues that SE has had during the launch and will not let those issue affect whether I subscribe or not. But the bots are a different story. If they don't address this quickly I won't be subscribing.

GM's? i havnt seen one post from SE in almost any thread on the forums. Why would GM's be any different?
Unfortunately I have to agree with you. However, the bot issue, IMHO, is worse for the long term health of the game than the initial server issues. But then again, what do I know.
That sucks no one responded. I'm sure SE has a lot of issues to deal with right now though. It seems SE is very overwhelmed with the response. That tells me there are very few employees in the FFXIV house trying to handle the flood.

Bots are a different story? They have been in just about every MMO, them and gold spammers. And you know what? They still are! Go to WoW, you will find Bots and Gold Spammers there. Go to TERA, same thing. Go to RIFT. Do you get the picture? Saying you will unsubscribe for something that is completely out of the control of anyone is ridiculous. They can never 100% get rid of them. Sure they can take steps to get rid of some, but they are like a Hydra, you cut off one head and two more grow in it's place. Every game wrestles with these same problems so don't delude yourself that it's only this one and that if they don't fix it you'll quit. It can't be totally fixed and if that's how you feel I would suggest you quit right now, MMO's just aren't for you. lolI used this yesterday on my realm to report the 8 bots in the East Shroud by the Honey yard.
