Botters already in full swing

On my server Fearie botters are already popping up in parties... today we had a bunch of people standing around watching a group of botters who where grinding in a corner in Eastern Thanalan for days on end they where in their high lv 20's all with lv 1 gear on still.. lol and when they all died to a fate i noticed an idiot raising them unless it was someone they knew.. regardless they have been grind botting for days on end lol.. wonder if they plan on putting in any anti bot tools or if they will just be free to roam and later we will find a group of lv 50's with lv 1 armor and completly dumb on their class because they didnt earn it or worse bought the characters from soemone botting chars up and selling them

I mean no disrespect by this, but can you confirm this? Like, how did you know? To be fair, what if it was me? what if i just decided to be lazy and not waste money on gear until around 30-35?

That's the exact same setup I've seen around the Coeurl Server too. They all got murdered by the FATE event in the area but later on got resurrected.

It is not difficult to spot botters if you have A)been observant, B) spent more than a moment observing, which the op seems to have done, by the mention of having seen them for hours in the zone, C) seen their ilk before and know what to look for. If they all died together, and just lay there for quite some time before their deaths are noticed, it is likely they were bots. This is not a difficult thing to detect. No one just "decides not to waste money on gear". Even if you never buy any, you get enough from completing quests and so on to be wearing SOMETHING.
