Unable to update patch files

I wanted to reinstall the game because i had issues with storyline bugs, ive reported all the issues i had days ago and got nothing from SE GMs, and thought ide just reinstall

i copied the SquareEnix file from C:/program files, to another drive as a backup

when i reinstalled, and copied the Original filed back to C:/ program files

i launched the game, but had "Unable to update patch files" error, i cant update my Launcher

Any suggestions or help with this would be much Appreciated

Note: i searched the forum but the only post i found was this guy saying "i had this issue, a player helped me with it, now i have another issue" wasn't helpful.

bad time right now - files may not be even there, or corrupt, wait til maint is over.

You can't download the game right now because its in maintenance. Try again in about 2 hours. 2 and a half if you want to be generous.
