    I hope dungeons in this game aren't like western MMO dungeons

    I really hope dungeons in this game aren't like western mmo(WOW/WOW clone) dungeons. They're really boring after the 1st 1 or two times then just become boring loot grinds.

    I enjoyed the way FFXI did "dungeons", limbus being my favorite. I didn't really like salvage because it was too limiting and favored certain classes too much, but it was a cool design as well.

    Outdoor nm's/hnm's, outdoor end game zones(sea/sky) etc are also a ton better than dungeons for end game content, imo. It makes the world feel more alive, it makes it feel like you're playing an MMO, it makes it feel like a real world. Instanced stuff is really bland, and boring, and makes me feel like I'm playing a FPS or D2

    So I really hope that all our "dungeons" and "end game" content isn't just bland and boring instanced dungeons WOW clone 101, but knowing SE they won't copy that I hope.

    I liked some of the dungeons in WoW... but.. umm dungeons are being instanced. And really dynamis and WoW dungeons were pretty much tge same imo.
    Sorry kinda tired of the WoW hate. content is content, better then no content.

    I'm no fan of WoW, but hating something just because WoW has it will male this game pretty limited. And all ffxi content had class resrictions based, but that was based on players.

    Anyone else completely ignore Kilta because she doesn't play the game and didn't play FFXI past like level 5?

    Yeah I hope they are more like salvage/nyzul isle/limbus. They always finished off with a pretty cool fight, and I liked how they had different features, like you starting with no abilities/gear and having to unlock them as you go.

    There also needs to be merits or something, and merit parties. Also hard NM's that CAN be solod but are incredibly hard(and require lots of gear), like later on in FFXI's life. I don't want to "get gear just to use it to get more gear in the next dungeon". I want to get gear to use it for other fun things too, or else it's boring.

    Also, no tiers, please. Do not copy WOW's tier system, make all gear equally useful. Don't make new gear COMPLETELY outclass the older gear, much like how Sky/sea gear was still useful late into the game, even 50 HNM drops were still useful. This end game design is much more fun imo.

    Yeah I agree, unique and fun stuff like this is fine for "dungeons".

    So basically what you are saying is :-

    FF11 Clone (Yes Please)
    WoW Clone (No Thanks)

    The reason why Sky/Sea gear was so useful for so long is that FF11 was stuck at 75 cap for 5 years, there is a good chance FF14 will go all the way up to 99 so don't expect gear you get at rank 50 to be much use at rank 99.
