Roegadyn bodies are in proportion, thus why no one complains about it (though once again, their butts are slightly off...). I can't even begin to tell you how many times it has been stated: "This is not a Miqo'te issue alone, it is an every character issue."Actually, I did. And whoever thinks this isn't about some personal sexual preference is kidding themselves. I play a female Miqo'te and this doesn't bother me in the least. Women (including cat women) come in all sizes, including flat chested/flat bummed.
All I see is a hormone-driven teenage boy throwing a tantrum because his character doesn't have the body of someone from Maxim magazine.
Meanwhile I don't see any complaints about roegadyns having unrealistically bulky bodies. Seriously - do you people not have anything better to do? Or rather - do you think FF devs have nothing better to do than to fix butt models?
As for women coming in all shapes and sizes:
- You cannot make a fat character, no matter how hard you try, so technically women of every shape do not exist in this game.
- If women come in "all shapes" then it is not completely out of line to ask for something that fixes butts.
If you choose to believe that this thread came about as some personal sexual preference, then that is your problem, don't hoist it on the rest of us.
Finally, we have not asked the Devs to take time out of their busy schedule to change this "immediately." All we have asked is that they fix it eventually.
Unfortunately, if you stop asking for something, it seems the Devs will conclude that you "got over it," so expect to see a looooooot more posts about this, because it's been going on since the first Alpha phase of version 2.0...
*EDIT* Out of General discussion posts for 24 hours...
You seem to be severely focused on the "Miqo'te" aspect of this. ^ I made one particular part bold for a reason...
As for the bit about Dev resources being better spent... Why should the Devs do anything then? It would have been 100 times easier to work with the tools they already had developed and simply fixing the issues 1.0 had (which they mostly did by 1.23), but instead they chose the extremely time consuming route of remaking the entire game from the ground up.
Why is it so hard to accept that they have an extremely flat bottom? Simple: We had the design set in stone within the previous version and we all liked it that way.
Now as to why some people believe that only they can have what they want and the rest of us be damned? You got me there.

Actually, no. Roegadyn bodies are not in proportion. They arguably set unrealistic expectations for what a muscular male and a female look like - ultimately jeopardizing our children's gender identity and forces them the belief what it means to be a man and a woman.
See how ridiculous that sounds? The point is, it is a game. Just because women come in all shapes and sizes doesn't mean that the game devs have to cater to that. Not all MMO's have the option to change body shape.
Devs' resources are better spent on game content that will come out 'eventually.' What a complete waste of time and resources to cater to some people who aren't happy that their characters aren't as voluptuous.
If Roegadyns are a race of humongous bone structure and muscles, maybe miqote is just a petite, flat bummed race. Why's that so hard to accept? I mean - it's accepted that they're born with tails but it's hard to accept that they have flat buttocks?
Because in 5 years, an entire race couldn't evolve to look differently (but this is FF, after all)
I wasn't going to contribute to this thread, though I've lurked and liked here and there. What finally prompted me to post was that moment when I first donned gathering gear on my femRoe. You know. That moment when you notice your character's rear is kinda concave.
By the way, I'm a female in my early thirties. Careful with those blanket assumptions.
Fact is, the bottoms just don't look right. And I believe that's all that most people are asking for here. Sure there's a few requests for big badonkadonk, but I think the majority just want their characters to look like their bums belong to them. And not the aforementioned teenage boy.

Come on SE, please fix this.
I have to agree. I do have a female Miqo'te alt, and looking from the side while she is walking, the back of the thigh right below the butt does this "clipping" thing into the buttock. Also it stretches or something so the vertices meet where mass was taken away. It's kinda awkward...
The polygon count could have been reduced without changing the basic shape which is really the issue here...right?![]()
Congrats.. you just revived a dying topic.. *facepalm* why can't this topic just ... disappear. You people have received your answer from the lead designer himself and no amount of petitioning, rebelling, crying, whining, or anything will change his answer.
OP you have a very hard time letting things go.
I'm just curious as to why the devs thought, "Yeah, that look's right. Now make the hair move". I don't see how they put so much detail in the game and missed this. FF has been sexual since FF7. Imagine if X-2 or 3 had flat bums? Lulu was flat chested? That's not SE style. Did they feel dirty? I noticed my female retainer's chest move a ridiculous amount for just standing and breathing. They thought to make the busts move a lot and yet every race has no glutes. They said it was for the armor sets but I don't buy it. They can create a virtual world but having a convex ass destroys the programming.
However, didn't they announce this is being fixed? They mentioned it on FFXIV Reborn.
