Apparently some of the body is missing (noticed this as well when equipping anything in the game that has a see-through piece)

Personally, my biggest problem with that picture is that when you do go to bed, it locks the camera.
My problem is that the robes are fit to the old body type, so every robe hovers a decent amount away from the character. If they're going to change body shapes, change the armor to fit the new shape, don't leave it at the old shape.

See above. It would require no extra work, because they never changed the armor to actually fit the new body. To see this, other than putting on a robe, is to just change a Miqo'te to Pugilist. You put the weapons on your hips, but due to them not changing equipment to fit the new body, the weapons are actually floating a bit away from your character (at the old location of the hips, though this could be for only some weapons).
