Please fix it
Please fix it
I couldn't care less about posture. I came to play the game. Not look at my characters posture and worry about her potential virtual back problems.
Imagine that there are people that exist outside of your small bubble. Now imagine those people liking and or concerned about things you don't like or find important.
What if these people also played this game?
Actually they do play this game.
Mind blown.
I support anything that would allow a guy or girl to have a bit of curves to them. Beer belly? Sure. Big booty? Sure! It might take a long time though. Like in WoW (I can’t think of anything else of the top of my head) only added more alternative body shapes in their third expansion…and it was only to NPC’s
My problem is that the robes are fit to the old body type, so every robe hovers a decent amount away from the character. If they're going to change body shapes, change the armor to fit the new shape, don't leave it at the old shape.Hmmm. I'm looking at this picture trying to figure out what's wrong:
Sleeping in a mask
Sleeping in a Robe... oh, the robe physics aren't working...
Apparently some of the body is missing (noticed this as well when equipping anything in the game that has a see-through piece)
Personally, my biggest problem with that picture is that when you do go to bed, it locks the camera.
See above. It would require no extra work, because they never changed the armor to actually fit the new body. To see this, other than putting on a robe, is to just change a Miqo'te to Pugilist. You put the weapons on your hips, but due to them not changing equipment to fit the new body, the weapons are actually floating a bit away from your character (at the old location of the hips, though this could be for only some weapons). While I sympathize with this thread, I also feel the modeling team looks at this and collectively shudders at the idea of having to re-weight, resize, re-animate and re-do physics for every piece of leg gear and a lot of torso gear currently in the game only because some people want miqo'te butts to be bigger.
I guess this is why combat sucks in this game, and SE can state with straight face "working as intended", it is because FF community cares more about butt shape apparently.
Something does not feel right with your game: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/86836-The-Navel-(Hard)-plume-animation-damage-impact-out-of-sync http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/71728-The-problem-with-Instant-OFF-GCD-abilities-makes-combat-feel-less-rewarding http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/91388-Silence-not-taking-effect-even-though-it-is-used-before-enemy-finishes-the-casting http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/86887-Unable-to-activate-skills-even-though-UI-displays-them-as-available-for-use
I'm with you on this one OP. I hope the models will be changed back, but I'm not getting my hopes up.![]()
Ok no I didn’t know about this…You forget that at that time there was a camp who complained about female Miqo'te because of the fact that they look like human-shaped catgirls and wished they were more cat-like. I wasn't one of them, but I remember rolling my eyes whenever they made their presence known.
Reading and knowing about this if this is a fact makes me twitch in disgust…
Why SE would change the race favouring this odd request of a more cat-shaped race, changing an existing race that previous players loved into something off and odd looking like a cat shaped catgirl. VERY ANOYING, where did those players come from? World of Warcraft?
I know they have plenty of odd animal shaped characters in that game but thats not what this race is supposed to be.
I came from Final Fantasy, this ant like the Final Fantasy cat race everyone.
Not to mention doing something like this goes against many players who understand the race and are fans of the race.
Who would want their human shaped cat-girl to be shaped more like an animal?
The entire point of this race is to still be 90% humanlike with slight cat-like features.
I was actually expecting to see a humanlike jump for the Female also but to my surprise they did a pouncing jump. This I am ok with, fair enough although it was annoying to see that the Male has a normal human jump animation but it’s just an animation I can deal with that..
But physically changing their body shape and structure to represent something as ugly as a cat body?
That is going too far my friends; she needs to be human shaped, change it back please SE.
There are real Final Fantasy fans hopeful to see some changes here, if they changed the body to suit this (IMO very odd request) then they should’ve made it an option instead of forcing there preference on everyone. Especially since they altered the original to suit others.
That is a massive error in judgment if they believed the majority would prefer a change like that, if given the option I'm 80% sure at a total off the top of my head completely random estimate we would see about 15% cat shaped cat people and about 85% human shaped cat people running around.
The majority of players would choose the attractive human body, you can try and tell me they wouldn't all you want but I'm damn sure you would be wrong.

OP takes 9999 points of damage from Kittra's BLAST attack! It's super effective! OP has fainted.Who said anything about "ghetto booty" Oo
I just want something that looks "normal" not anorexic.
Also, I believe everyone knows by now that "gamers" are a fickle breed. We don't do what you would call "getting a life." We instead do things like creating spreadsheets about how to most efficiently do damage, how to do something in the shortest time possible, and how to min/max everything in the game.
Hardly "normal" to anyone who plays games on the side, but if you enter the gamers' world, you better be prepared for our "normal" because here you're the strange one.
+1 for being awesome, Kittra.
