    If my friend can't play because of this, I sure as hell won't pay for a sub either even if I like this game and can play it without problems.

    Use VPN Gate and try low ping ones until you find one that works for you.

    I'm living in Japan and playing on Moogle and getting the same problem. I thought I was the only one. So happy to find other people having the most frustrating problem as well. 199.91.189.38:55007 is the IP+port for me. I have spent the last 2 days doing everything under my sun to my router thinking it was a problem with that. It started for me Tuesday afternoon-ish and is still unplayable now. Will try the VPN thing a bit later

    Are there even mods that monitor this technical support forum? Why aren't threads with this issue being moved to the known issue section? Why are there dumb threads about lowered seal gain from fates not being removed so they don't get in the way of actual technical problems like this one? Even if they only have a single moderator for this section and he only looks at the forum for an hour a day or whatever it shouldn't take him 4 days to acknowledge one of the many threads about this issue. Can we get a simple "Hey, we know about this and your problem has been relayed to the people who fix this stuff," or "Oh, yeah, I exist and do at least read stuff in this forum section on occasion." Or something.

    Gotten more info from people calling the guys who work for SE than anywhere else. I like the game when I could play it, and want to give SE my money on the condition that I can actually play the game. While a quick fix would be greatly appreciated, and I understand that this issue isn't the only issue people are having, I would just be happy with an once of communication. That's all I'm wanting at this point. Really starting to feel like posting anything in here is like leaving a message on a voice mail that never gets read, and just have to hope that other people on the different language forums are having the same problem as us but their side of customer support is actually relaying some info to the guys that fix stuff.

    Download VPN gate and install it, when you run it search the one wit hthe lowest ping and that is in the USA and connect to it

    I'm having this problem in Chicago on Cactuar. My friend who in the same city with the same ISP (RCN) encounters the issue as well. Curiously, we lag out and get the 90k disconnect error at the exact same time, despite living many miles from each other. A friend out in the suburbs using a different ISP (Comcast), hasn't been experiencing intermittent lag like us, but did get a 90k disconnect error while entering an instance yesterday.

    During a disconnect or period of lag, my persistent ping to google.com doesn't drop any packets, but I'll lose at least 3 in a row on my ping to 199.91.189.31 (the IP ffxiv.exe was connected to). Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Playing from Japan on a NA server. didn't have latency during beta, early access, or the first few days during public release. this started happening only a few days ago.

    It's worth noting that the issue appears to have started late Sunday night (or early Monday morning). Prior to that, we've been able to remain logged in and AFK for multiple days at a time. Now we can barely stay in for over an hour.
