Question/Concern with SCH (possible Bug?)

So, I recently unlocked SCH and did a pick-up group to Copperbell to test it out for the first time. All was going well, until the Tank and Lancer dropped due to a Blast Cap Explosion. I had set 'Raise' as one of my addition skill see how my level was restricted to 20 and I didn't have access to Resurrection at the time. When I tried casting the spell it said I was unable to use it. I was kind of thrown off by this as my level was 20 so I should I'd have the extra action. Still it was odd to allow me to set my extra action, but not to use it. Anyone else notice or have this problem?

Also remember when you Level Sync down you may have less additional actions available, in your case it would be 2 rather than however many you had before.

If Raise was the 3rd or higher ability you set then you would never be able to use it in there, battle or not.

But, wouldn't you have 4 abilities in that case? It's every 5th level you gain another extra ability, right?

I haven't leveled CNJ Beyond 15, so I'm not sure of the trait that adds to Raise being used in battle. Resurrection was the only one I knew of that could be used in combat. Still, The battle was over after the bomb died, I should have been able to cast it. O.o?

Once you have equipped a soulstone for a job, in your case scholar, you can get a maximum of 5 slots for extra skills instead of 10. every 10 levers you will get another slot for an extra skill. If you did copperbel mines and your level would be downgraded to 20, then that would mean you have 2 slots for extra abilities available. If raise is then placed in the 3rd slot, you can't use it. So you have to move Raise from the 3rd slot to the 1st/2nd slot so you can use the skill.

I'm pretty sure ability slots are every 10 levels

I'm a WHM/CNJ it's a trait they get to use it in battle at level 25 or something

The thing that truly baffles me is that Arcanists can cast Resurrection in the middle of a fight, with no trait. Yes, we get the spell four levels later, but we get it four levels before CNJ gets the trait. I'm really not sure how I feel about this...

Arcanist can't battle ress at level 20, neither can conjurer. Off the top off my head Scholars raise is at 24(?) with the battle ress trait included into it, while conjurer gets a raise much earlier but doesn't get the battle ress trait until level 28.

If you are being synced to level 20, that's why you can't ress.

Also; no point using scholar crystal at level 20, so you'll have 4 skills, as they unlock every 5 levels for classes and 10 for jobs.

At level 20 with the crystal equipped you will still have your healer fairy, that's a good enough reason to have it equipped.
