I had digitally pre-ordered my game via Square Enix, which goes through Digital River. I did receive my pre-order code no problem, but when the game launched, I did not receive my product code (which is separate).

I just found it: It arrived 3 days ago in the Spam folder.

Even though I have Square Enix white-listed, the email comes from Digital River. What's worse is that the sender shows up as "webhelp.v4" which is as spammy-sounding an email address as I've seen on a legit company. To make things worse, Digital River is using BlueHost.com marketing, so the whole 'from' line in gmail actually reads "webhelp.v4@digitalriver.com via bluehornet.com"

Basically an instant recipe for the spam filter to intervene.

So if you're going through your spam filters looking for "Square Enix" in the sender column, don't bother. You'll miss it. I had to search my spam folder for the word "square" and that's when I realized this email was in there.

Hope that helps... and I don't understand why Square can't take a little bit more of a direct route when it comes to digital sales, or at least the emails that go out.
