server full (1017 putting me back to main menu)

i have been quite lucky with the early access and this never showed up for me, i register my game and now i cant log on? please sort this out

This is a known issue. They did not anticipate the server loads that they got when this game launched. I tried to log in today so I could possibly play an hour before work, and am getting 1017 errors as well. Once they increase the servers and make it so people can't log in and AFK for hours on end, then these issues should work themselves out. I have never played an MMO right at launch where I did not experience these types of issues. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

i must say this is pretty dumb. no queue system? no anti afk system to force log out? poor planing for sure. cant even crrate any characters anywhere. sure hope this doesnt take forever to fix so i can actually play this game other then early morning hours.

I understand the server queue issue, that is, more people than anticipated trying to play the game. I do not understand the AFK issue: I was on this morning (U. S. Central Time) and I would say about half of the characters I saw in the city zones were just standing around as placeholders.

This is inexcusable on Square Enix's part. Kick these people off, and I'll bet the "1017" error would largely fix itself.
