Hello all,
I wanted to know if this is a legit reason to report Square Enix to the Better Business Bureau as I am very frustrated with how my account has been handled.
I preordered the CE of ARR and paid overnight shipping to get it here. I had gotten my early access codes via email and entered them in. To my dismay these codes were invalid as they sent me the wrong regional codes so I spent 3 hours on hold and SE was generous enough to give me new codes which worked. (Thanks to SE on that)
However, I linked these codes to the same PSN ID that I linked on the webpage and logged on for the first time to see that my account was already registered to another PSN ID? WTF I didn't link anything?
This ID was auto linked from Phase 3 beta, so I called SE again, another 1 hour hold time which I was fine with, but when I got the Customer Service rep he informed me that I would have to repurchase the game with new codes if I wanted to play my original account. Now this is where it becomes straight bullshit...they auto-linked my account, I followed their step-by-step instructions on how to link an account, only to find that my CE is...well...useless..
I blow off some steam and decide I'll just play the originally auto-linked account figuring I'll just give up the bonus items that I paid for just to be done with the situation, and wouldn't you know, no valid service account because I haven't registered a code. Really? I registered a mother$@!$^!@ code (sorry I'm not happy)
I've already spent 93.82 for the CE + overnight shipping which was for the early access...my first issue wasn't resolved until after official release...which means I didn't get the early access I paid for. I also now have a 93.82 paperweight.
Keep in mind..I preordered the first day it was available...entered my preorder codes on first day available...talked to SE finally after release...no early access here, no in game items, and paperweight game...working as intended? I think not
