    ISP Issue and VPNs

    Ok,

I am a UK player with a BT infinity line which is being throttled during peak times because BT think FF is P2P. So I connect via various VPNs to mask the IP which worked great yesterday, but tonight is getting the 2002 error or 100102 error depending which VPN I use...

yet when I connect with no VPN its fine? Now you are stopping the work around from working as well? This needs to be resolved a lot faster than what it currently is im sorry. We all know launches are rough - but not with fundamentals like this? Buggy quest fair enough

I know that exists - but the work around was to use a VPN so BT didnt throttle you. My point is that I can login when not using a VPN but can no longer login with a VPN. That thread is just about which ISPs are having issues

I apologise for misunderstanding your post.

Personally that sounds more like an issue with the VPNs than the game though. Unless there was an FFXIV update today then SE hasn't changed anything to do with how you connect (they'd need to update the launcher if they did) so might be worth talking to the VPN companies asking if perhaps they're blocking FFXIV traffic for whatever reason. I have to admit that two different VPNs having the same problem at the same time does seem unlikely though.
