It's not the pricing, it's the fact casual gamers simply don't need a powerful PC because they tend to be on the console side of things as most PC games are released on consoles as well and pretty much everyone has a console or two if they're a gamer. If you want the top of the line yes but you can build a pc that can play games around 400$ if you have a pc with HDD and DVD rom that save you money i can understand what you mean. If you like consoles gaming that a whole other story then i understand wait for the PS3 version. But i know for me i wont waste 1k for a pc when i can build one for 400$ and play ffxiv without issue and that what i did 1year ago and i play fine at great setting with good FPS outside and 40-50FPS in city.

but if you like consoles then play that still don't get why would casual even play a game if they have 2hours per day to play seem like a waste of money to me but w/e
