Doing instaces with a premade group

So me, my GF, my brother and a friend are playing this game at the same rate and we would like to enjoy instaces with a group consisting of the 4 of us. I play a marauder, my gf plays an arcanist, my bro plays a gladiator and my friend play another gladiator.

Currently whenever we try to access an instant via duty finder it says that we do not meet the requirements even though we are all in the same quest for the instance. So my take on it is that the game automatically assisngs you a role based on your class and in the setup we have the game sees 3 tanks and 1 dps. I try to enter the instance through the entrance but it just pops the duty finder.

Is there a way to either choose the role you want to fill in the duty finder or at least let us enter without having to go through the duty finder?

While I agree with that, this is not the OPs point. We should have the choice to do instances with wathever combination of classes we desire. Also, wouldnt mind getting this question answered as well:

dont use the duty finder, if you have the full party, walk to the dungeon entrancen and go in, doing it like this you can go in with all healers if you want.

duty finder is for when you dont have a party set up.

thats weird.. i did all my dungeons with friends
set up was

ACN ACN GLA LNC no healer... all we did was go to the entrance click the shiny thing and go in no duty finder pops. the only thing that poped was waiting for party check 1/4 - 4/4 OK and boom we are in..

My guess is your a relatively low level considering your unlikely to be able to manage with that combo later on. Do arcanists even heal. Your Glads will take aggro from eachother it'll be chaos. Do bosses have enrage timers like the Trial primals? Like it or not but Glads are tanks not damage dealers.

Well the best solution to this that I can think of is have your friends (or you to another) power level up a Conjurer and whatever other DPS class (there are many) the the level of everyone else. Alternatively you can all just change classes over to DPS, DPS, GLD/MRD, CON and start from level 1-desired level (this way everyone is leveling at the same pace). This way you can all just switch out the rolls that you want.

I play with two friends and between the three of us we all have a tanking class, healing class, and a DPS class. We just switch to the composition that we want and find the remaining jabrone to fill the void.

That's Kinda not Smart to do an instance with 3 tanks, who can't really DPS that well. The reason this is happening to you cuz a lot of fight are designed for 1 tank a heal and two DPS. You guys are in for a lot of heart ache trying to roll like that cuz some bosses are on timers and rape if you don't DPS down certain things fast. Plus tanks are rare by rolling an instance with 3 tanks you denied like 6 people that are queued a chance to do the instance with your friends as tanks. You really don't meet the requirement cuz you don't have a real healer like white mage or conj a anch aint going to cut it. Tanks get into dungeon when qued like instantly cuz they are so rare. Srun the dungeons separately then talk about it after its over and share the experiences :P
