    It doesn't make any difference to me. I wouldn't join any such hardcore server.

    Just don't try to implement this shit across the board. Most of the player base of FFXI of which I was a part of has since grown up and got a life. I don't have the time to invest in 16+ hours of game play per day.

    1-5 minute spawn times are alien to me... I'm used to FFXI.

    Fighting the new NMs as R50 is too easy, many can be solo'd with ease. It is hard to give feedback regarding this without trying to kill these mobs using jobs at the required level to use the items that they drop. I expect pop times are currently set so fast to maximise the feedback given in a short time period.

    This was also a fault I found with FFXI. Great if you have a max level job to get you the gear for the next job you level. If you don't then you had better have some high level friends lol...

    I think they should make PvP,PvE,Role play and Hardcore servers to satisfy everyone.

    The only reason they shouldn't implement such things is because of the strain it might place on development. However, perhaps the amount of time with which it would extend the life of the game and also the amount of players such a system would help retain would be worth the extra cost.

    Also.. how does dieing make a game hard?
    you die you get up, you do it again. Even with exp/sp/level down. it don't make it any harder. You just go back level more and retry it.
    I have died tons of times in games I don't think any of them are hard.

    Like two worlds 2, even on the "easy" setting i've found things that can one shot me. Does that make the game harder? Not really, I just go and level up more then get back to it.

    if you want a really "hard" gamke play lost choas and shiyain ot w/o it called. Both have an ultimate settinhs where if you die and are not raised in time your character will get deleted. Imagine having all the best gear in the game a ton of money and you die and no one is aroumd to raise you. All that work is gone.

    the idea of an hardcore server is silly as the open pvp/pk ones. You know right it's utterly expensive developing 2 sets of patches right ?Not speaking of maintein 2 different servers. I'm speaking of this

    2] removal of teleportation and anima system completely.

    3] re-insert the player population count under the search option again.

    6] all items (including NM & mob drops) tradable / sellable besides starter gear like underwear, starter weapon, etc.

    7] removal of automated party buffs.
    All of this is binded to the core mechanism, from an aziendal point it's detrimental redo such feature just for a part of the population. It's all or nobody.
    Seriusly, people complain in WoW for a TBC only server, and even with 12m of account blizzard don't do it. And not really because other servers will get empty.

    1) NM respawn once in a month
    2) HNM respawn once in a year with 0,03 % drop rate
    3) all shops close at daytime, open at night only
    4) all character and monster names are turned off always.
    6) need collectors addition+ FFXI account to join the server
    7) need to collect 4 times as much SP to climb a level and no bonus SP for R1-20
    8) if player remains R1-20 longer than 3 days his character will get deleted automatically
    9) Bots should be allowed
    10) NM only spawn if at least 5 Linkshells are present

    This is a good idea. Maybe SE should implement all of their fixes or bascially convert to the FFXI mechanics but with the FF14 theme on a completely another server, and yes hard core based (TERA is a perfect example of both hard core and casual). This will also allow SE to have their player base start anew with their newly implemented systems and features.

    SE will begin to see the flow of their player base attending this hard core server. Possibly a majorit and possibly many others who have quit come back.

    Then they would realize the mistake they have made from the beginning and ignore those who continue to cry that "ff14 is perfectly fine! Q.Q" which is further digging this games whole.

    Back to TERA again, TERA has also a pvp / pve server both with different content to suit their players needs. Why cant we have a hardcore/casual?

    Casual bassicaly would be a private server where everything is handed to you.

    Hard core would be the classic FF11/Standard MMO expectations with the risk/reward
