Also.. how does dieing make a game hard?
you die you get up, you do it again. Even with exp/sp/level down. it don't make it any harder. You just go back level more and retry it.
I have died tons of times in games I don't think any of them are hard.

Like two worlds 2, even on the "easy" setting i've found things that can one shot me. Does that make the game harder? Not really, I just go and level up more then get back to it.

if you want a really "hard" gamke play lost choas and shiyain ot w/o it called. Both have an ultimate settinhs where if you die and are not raised in time your character will get deleted. Imagine having all the best gear in the game a ton of money and you die and no one is aroumd to raise you. All that work is gone.

That's not difficult. That's just a matter of having a ton of time in one's hand, though.

It tell you right there that most casual only care about themself unlike most of the hardcore who thinks both ways. i for one want both all the casual players are greedy like hell about giving us anything that they can't do. just because they know more then 70% are the player base, but to tell you the true playing wow you see it first hand how most causal players think and wow have to be one of the baddest players i see in a mmo. FFXI was like a great game every nice players then around whitegate players became more greedy and less helping if you don't give something in return they wont waste there time. This was not only the causal but hardcore players themself.

Sadly thanks to WoW this is how the mmo game world is now casual. There two type of casual players who really don't have time to play which is most of the players here and the onces that are lazy and want everything handed to them like a baby.

Grow up casual players this is not only your game, we have the right to be here can't we just grow up and meet in the middle?

and grow up hardcore players adding myself into this we need to just leave the causal players enjoy the game and see what happens.

We can have FFXI serket type NM in FFXIV make them 1-3hours random repop timer make them have there own spell, make them hard just like serket was but you still need to kill them under 30mins before it rage. This can meet casual and hardcore players need. Sadly if you don't have 1-3hours to wait for a NM then your out of luck. Even if you can't get the nm does not matter because the one that are 3-5mins are being hunt down like crazy right now anyways. So a 3-5 nm could become 6hours waiting to even get it thanks to everyone doing them.

So stop being asshats about it and allow hardcore to have little fun.

I guess hardcore players have to quit playing MMO or become casual players that or wait too players change view which wont happen for the next 30+years lol i guess i start playing game again when am 50. If ffxiv all going to be is 100% casual.

note don't even Quote me i'm not agreeing with the casual or the hardcore all i want is a mddiel ground and all am saying is true maybe with a lil b??????? but this gone long enough i think hardcore players should just shut up and see what happen with ffxiv let casual have the fun. Yoshi oh ready said he going to add hardcore events and item for us even if casual don't agree.

    @Felis

FFXI is casual you can get 30-90 in about one day no thanks if you can make a server that is like ffxi before all the big change in whitegate let me know i join it asap.
Agreed, this game was designed to appeal to BOTH the casual and the hardcore, but some of the ppl who have been complaining about things like auto-attack and other content sound like they expect the game to do everything for them, from leveling to getting leet gear, to probably wiping thier a** too. The harsh reality is that if you want awesome gear, you are expected to work for it, this applies to real life too. It took me 9 tries to get my Mirke Wardecors in FFXI, but when I finally beat the seed crystal, it made the having the armor all the more sweeter. (That, and I had a great story to share.)

Nothing is worth having if you didn't truly EARN it, and quests that give you amazing gear as an easy freebie is NOT a quest, it is a handout. Even if you are casual, there is no reason why you cannot try the same difficult quest for a powerful sword or legendary armor that a hardcore player would enjoy.

I agree but that what players don't understand most just want everything handed to them. Sadly not even life is casual you need to work your a** off just to meet ends meet even if you win the lotto you still have to be smart with it. The game need some. hardcore does not mean wasting 500hours on something it's how hard it took you to get for a great story even if it take you 3-4days to get one item that would last you to endgame that good enough reason to get the item.

But w/e my last post fix the issue vs causal and hard core they doing something fun and hard matter if the causal like it or not. it may not take 3-5hours to do but it still going to be a hard event.

the idea of an hardcore server is silly as the open pvp/pk ones. You know right it's utterly expensive developing 2 sets of patches right ?Not speaking of maintein 2 different servers. I'm speaking of this

2] removal of teleportation and anima system completely.

3] re-insert the player population count under the search option again.

6] all items (including NM & mob drops) tradable / sellable besides starter gear like underwear, starter weapon, etc.

7] removal of automated party buffs.
All of this is binded to the core mechanism, from an aziendal point it's detrimental redo such feature just for a part of the population. It's all or nobody.
Seriusly, people complain in WoW for a TBC only server, and even with 12m of account blizzard don't do it. And not really because other servers will get empty.

    1) NM respawn once in a month
    2) HNM respawn once in a year with 0,03 % drop rate
    3) all shops close at daytime, open at night only
    4) all character and monster names are turned off always.
    6) need collectors addition+ FFXI account to join the server
    7) need to collect 4 times as much SP to climb a level and no bonus SP for R1-20
    8) if player remains R1-20 longer than 3 days his character will get deleted automatically
    9) Bots should be allowed
    10) NM only spawn if at least 5 Linkshells are present
