Ref#: I sent their customer service a note on Twitter, but likely won't get a response until tomorrow.
I have no idea if this will help, but this is the WinMRT report for about 5-6 minutes of checking, during which I had two lag spikes but no disconnect:
Kinda seems like that equinix-was12.ip.tiscali.net is where the bottleneck starts.Code:|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | DD-WRT - 0 | 455 | 455 | 0 | 4 | 222 | 2 | | No response from host - 100 | 91 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | bvi200.aggr2.sbo.ma.rcn.net - 0 | 455 | 455 | 9 | 21 | 236 | 14 | | tge0-1-0-0.core1.sbo.ma.rcn.net - 0 | 455 | 455 | 20 | 32 | 249 | 23 | | tge0-0-0-1.core1.nyw.ny.rcn.net - 0 | 455 | 455 | 22 | 35 | 252 | 30 | | tge0-1-0-2.core1.phdl.pa.rcn.net - 0 | 455 | 455 | 23 | 36 | 251 | 31 | | tge0-1-0-3.core1.lnh.md.rcn.net - 0 | 455 | 455 | 20 | 31 | 249 | 22 | | tge0-0-0-7.border1.eqnx.va.rcn.net - 0 | 455 | 455 | 19 | 32 | 248 | 20 | | equinix-was12.ip.tiscali.NET - 3 | 407 | 395 | 24 | 34 | 296 | 30 | | xe-1-0-0.mtl10.ip4.tinet.net - 3 | 407 | 395 | 41 | 56 | 273 | 48 | | ormuco-gw.ip4.tinet.net - 3 | 407 | 395 | 45 | 57 | 278 | 51 | | 192.34.76.2 - 3 | 407 | 395 | 46 | 57 | 278 | 47 | | 199.91.189.234 - 3 | 407 | 395 | 44 | 56 | 692 | 51 | | 199.91.189.74 - 3 | 407 | 395 | 46 | 56 | 277 | 55 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______|
EDIT: So I ran WinMTR on the IP I was assigned while I was playing, and noticed two things. One, when my lag spiked there was definitely packet loss up the chain starting at the tiscali.net hop. Two, the number of lag spikes shot up when I ran a dungeon via the duty finder, compared to just milling about doing quests etc.
Sounds like either there's a routing problem at that step for either everybody, or specifically RCN.
SECOND EDIT: I made a character on the JP servers (Ultima, specifically) and tested things out there. I didn't have the lag spike/discon issue and my ping to it didn't have any significant packet loss, so again, looks like that one hop between me and the NA/EU data center seems to be the issue.

When does the problem occur?: Almost constantly the past couple of days. I've had extreme lag and a lot of error 90000 disconnects. I didn't have that issue during early access, but it has made the game unplayable recently.

- Reference number from your ISP, if you raised this matter with them
- Additional info: 50Mb/s connection running at 0.38MB/s during patch processs from the FFXIV Launcher. Speedtest.net is indicating I have a downstream bandwidth of about 14.5Mb/s from a server 250 miles away.

I tried about 20 times to download the game via the client and kept getting the "server not responding" error after the connection had dropped (downloading as it should be and then bam! All of a sudden the speed drops and time remainig is like 1600 or something like that and then I get the error). I have tried every possible workaround, from removing firewalls, anti virus and whatnot to forwarding ports. Even went as far as to purchase a new modem. I have this exact same problem when downloading torrents so I believe it has something to do with p2p
Maybe if we Bump all the tens of threads on this forum that reported the same issue for the past 4 days, maybe then do you guys think SE will reply ?

Had zero problems during all of beta 1-4 and early access. The first few days when I was able to connect, I'd stay connected almost all the time while playing. After the 1st or so, I constantly get DC'ed after about 5-10 minutes in game.
