Request for information: ISPs and P2P throttling

Thanks, I don't particularly udnerstand everything there though so I don't get why some people's traffic goes via this but not others'. The answer might confuse me though.

Is there anything that can be done? Like Peerblocking or something?

Depending on your physical location, and ISP, you'll have a different route to a host. Sometimes that route can even change throughout the day if the backend routing tables update for some reason.

I'm on TWC in socal and my normal route goes though a TATA palo alto hop where the problem is. I use a VPN service that routes me to the east coast first, and it bypasses TAT completely...so no more lag for me
