Always laggy, especially during peak times (i play on an NA data center so even early hours of the morning can be super laggy for me) - even worse since Heavensward
Has there been any resolution to this thread/issue?
I only ask since it was opened in 2013, and we're having ongoing posts.... I'm not going to read through 220+ pages of backlogged posts though. I know I had a horrible of this problem back when the game was newer. It went away of it's own accord more or less, but seems to have started up again for me roughly a week before the "early access" of Heavensward began. Presently, on the rare occasions I do get past the 2002/5006/misc fun errors the game is basically unplayable for me, with a delay of four or five seconds on actions in combat. Chat seems to work well, for what that's worth.

Problem: Occurred back in 2013, and more recently as stated.

Problem: Been experiencing extreme lag since 2.5 or so. Game will randomly freeze and then speed up. It's like I'm playing green light/red light. Everything else is fine. Even tested with other games, they're all lag-free. It's only been occurring in XIV. Sometimes it will even disconnect me completely.

Connection is fine until prime time hours (7pm-11pm east coast). During these times, significant lag is present (1-5 seconds of action followed by 1-5 seconds of FFXIV "catching up".) No other connection issues present, can watch streamed video and download files without issue. Services such as WTFast and Pingzapper eliminate the problem completely.
The same problem has happened several times before, such as when Ramuh was released and lasts for weeks at a time. Unfortunate to see that this issue has returned.
Havent tried WTFast or Pingzapper but same issue same time frames Only Verizon FIOS in central FloridaISP: Verizon FIOS

Occurance: Every night around 5 PM PDT to 9 PM PDT. I lag so bad, it's unplayable. Every night around the same time itll happen and I'm noticing it's more so on PC for some reason. My buddy/room mate plays it on PS4 and when next to each other playing, he is perfectly fine running around, no lag where I lag very bad within that time frame. People will freeze for 3-4 seconds and warp to wherever they were running to, my skills take about 10 seconds to actually start casting, I will freeze every few seconds for about 5 seconds. Interacting with NPCs takes about 10 seconds for any dialogue to come up, basically EVERYTHING in game lags out for 5-10 seconds for a good 4 hour span making the game unplayable and its becoming VERY frustrating because those are the only time frames I have to play during the week. I noticed this happening since the expansion launched. Prior to it, it was fine

Occurrence - Every day since Heavensward Launch. This used to happen all the time about a year ago, at which point WTFast resolved any issues, but now even with WTFast I get extreme lag, delays, 90002 disconnects, the lot. Particularly in the evenings.
