Anyone else having a hard time playing on PS3?

Also, I didn't realize I could turn off all other effects but my own. I'll definitely get in and dumb down everything. Don't care about the graphics really, I just want to play the game in bed haha

Balmung player here. Fates give me a bit of trouble (esp the Goblin one with the barrage of AoE spells) but the monsters of the Coblyn species tend to lag me out more than anything which is so weird to me.

if your using wifi then your going to experience more lag than hardwired unless the wifi is a foot away from your ps3.

I play on my PS3 all the time, with wifi. I noticed the ONLY time I ever experienced lag was during the Marlboro Fate in North Shroud I think it was, maybe East Shroud. But anyway, yeah at that point the game gets laggy, but it's still playable. It just slows down and my abilities and everything slow down a bit. There's always a bunch of people there trying to kill it though, so that could be it.

I have been having some fairly intense lag issues since EA. I play on the PS3 exclusively, and have turned off spell effects from players. I also play on a high population server, Leviathan.

It's really frustrating, I want to play this game, but when I get to a FATE and I am just sitting there anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute depending on how many people are around, it's already over. It's not just FATEs either, any place of higher population character models tend to disappear, PCs and NPCs.

I log on today, and I am experiencing the same issue, I really don't want to play this game until I get a decent PC, if this is going to be an issue for the long term. Even PCs that can barely run the game aren't having this issue at all. Feels like I wasted a few hundred dollars for the system and CE when I expected a fairly smooth experience.

I have been playing ps3 version since beta and early access. I didnt have any major issue like you mentioned, a few lags, but instance showed no problem. What I can say is that pay ATTENTION TO YOUR PS3'S TEMPERATURE. IF IT GETS TOO HOT, YOUR SYSTEM WILL SLOW DOWN. Make sure its well ventilated. Also, to keep it cool, I keep a small desk fan and blow it directly at the front to help lower the temp. Side note,. You can also buy a ps3 wireless keypad, it helps a lot especially of your customize its keybind.

F.A.T.E.S on ps3 are unplayable.
The frame rates drop to unbearable levels and the delay on skills activating Is terrible.
The game Is great but stay away from F.A.T.E.S and anywhere that's heavily populated
