This event was solely designed for tanks that's why most of the replies come from tanks which is a breeze for them.
My friend is a warrior and done this with ease but Dragoon is another story sense they cannot inflict enough damage unless your an absolute split second hard core gamer!
I'm at lvl43 and get close but the pops are too frequent and the area in read is all around you to avoid critical hits!
This event should be tailored to equalize what job your using for it is UN-ethical for one job to have advantages over the other!
That's why in a party you have a balance you can adjust!

Why is it a lot of players say to use chocobo and other npc's this isn't allowed and most of you criticizing the original are warriors!
This game was designed for warrior class that's why it was a breeze for you!
What should of been done for warrior class is to double everything to make it equal to the rest!
Unless you've done it with another class don't disrespect the ones that are at least giving an effort!
I my self haven't cleared this at lvl 40 41 42 and 43 Dragoon!
My gear is equipped well have mega potions, Apakallu Omelette, decent macro's!
Follow advice from others on what to fight and when!
My HP is at 2050 but during the dragon fight the adds multiply faster than im capable to kill!
Strafing all around to try and miss the red zones become impossible.
Get close about 20% hp left on dragoon why fighting adds but fail mission every time for the adds keep multiplying and killing the npc.

I just did this as my level 40 Rogue (to those that say they were level 39, is impossible cause it is a lvl 40 story quest and we all know you can not take story quests even ONE level above you)

Anyway I am a lvl 40 Rogue and I did it with relative ease. The key is to use all skills you can. Help fight the boss, till the Wyrmhounds show up, kill the Wyrmhounds starting with those attacking your archer cause your healer is a bit further from their spawnpoint. When all adds are gone, focus back on boss till the wyvern shows up. Attack the Wyvern immediately. Keep his attacks away from your allies and kill it then the wyrmhounds that once again spawn and then return to the boss. He should be dead after this

Just play as a SCH and make sure Eos heals you while your heal Drillemont. I know this is old but I found this after I failed this quest two times as SMN (Lv. 40).

I kept dying something awful then I leveled Arcanist to 4 grab the heal spell physick and with sleep + physick + unlimited mana it's incredibly easy just make sure to heal
All of the npcs so they can heal as well.

Just did it with 40 conjurer, stood there and spammed stone and healed myself a few times.

Conjurer / whm actually has some pretty powerfull solo combat abilities. I had no trouble with this one. Hit him with heavy first, spammed a few stone II, knocked him back with fluid aura, rinse and repeat.

Having a problem with this, too. I'm MNK, and as MNK I see no way to complete this instance save for "go level GLD".

I managed to do it on my first try juggling blizzard+scathe and physick when necessary, try getting your grand company gear if you need a bit of an extra boost.

Effective use of sleep allowed me to solo this as a BLM. Sleep, kite, blow up boss, reapply sleep as needed.
