Good post, I blame the mods they need to be more aggressive and less tolerant.

Unfortunately SE comes from a past of lack of commuication. They're trying to change that image, and they are applying excessively lax moderation policies to try and avoid to look like they are "censoring" opinions.

ha. i have seen some very tolerant actions from mods, but i have seen just as many opinions deleted and reported as tos violations that were absolutely hillarious. they would tos violate people for taking up for another poster and asking people to not be rude to them(don't tell me is hasn't happened because i have seen and have the email to prove it). the thing is it depends on who you are on these forums and who you agree with whether it is considered ok or not.

You, sir, win the teddy bear.
Exactly. I'm an old FFXI player, and I played it more than any other MMORPG (besides DAOC). Yet, I can recognize that FFXI was designed 8 years ago, for the market as it was 8 years ago. It wouldn't fit today's market, and in any case it's time for something fresh.

Considering all the whining about crap like NMs, Casuals VS Hardcores, Jumping, Missing Genders, etc. instead of actually trying to suggest new ideas I'm inclined to agree.

I don't get people who want to turn XIV into XI. Did you guys quit the game because of the graphics that you want this so bad? Because XI is still there, it still has really nice visuals, and you can all shut up and play it instead of trying to turn a new game into one that still exists.

Everyone cries...
Hardcore do.
Casual do.
Inbetween? Do...
People who like the game cry.
People who hate the game cry.
Does it matter?
A lot of whining is revolved around why people "dislike" a direction.
Then you have more whining revolved around why people "like" the direction.
Even suggesting things could be considered whining.
For example Op you want Jump, I hate jump, I don't want it, so because I disagree I could be whining? I'm not adding anything in my comment about how to "increase functionality" to XIV as my statement requests reduced functionality. Am I not allowed to disagree with a direction?
Then you just put this scenario into every fucking thing about the game and you have this forum, so long story short everyone whining at the end of the day. Even if subtle.
No thats no whining at all you just stated you don't want jump thats fair. But whats annoying is that your angry I do want a jump, I'm just saying I would like the choice to jump is that not fair? Probably shouldn't have replied because it'll probably turn into another jump thread.Everyone cries...
