Better to look for solutions than to complain and get irate. If you failed to add the account correctly this may be of assistance to you.

Thanks for the info, but don't assume people don't know how to follow instructions.
In my case my PS3 didn't show information for creating a new account or selecting a existing one. I put my code in through the account management page on Playstation Network and then proceeded to login like I have since Beta 4 / Early access. It confirmed account activation and then when I got to the login page it showed 2 accounts. The browser screen for PS3 is messed up and apparently doesn't always show all the information like it should (what happened in my case).
Again, appreciate the information, just don't assume everyone is a complete moron.
Yeah, you guys are major idiots for not knowing how to follow really convoluted unnecessary and archaic steps to activate a game including using a pre-order code, then a code given to you after the pre-order code and then a registration code and then being sent around to various confusing websites.
Yikes you guys are simpletons.
Japanese company being awful at handling technical issues and figuring out how to provide ease of use for people wants to give them money.
2013.
I love how people get this "I'm better than you and you're so stupid" mentality. The instructions clarifying the issue were added after so many of us messed up. So many of us messed up because it wasn't clear what to do, and many would argue that it made more sense to add a "service account" than a "platform" if you're adding a new "service" to the same "platform" as before. As for the instructions you linked to, many of us who registered a second service account know this already. The problem is that we filled out the proper form 4 or more days ago, and have tried calling and contacting chat support only to be greeted with busy signals, hung up on, and told that there are no available support agents. After several days of this, we've finally reached a point where are time has run out and we can no longer play the game on characters we've leveled for the past week. Those of us who were patient are now angry and irate. Those of us who were already angry and irate, are now moreso.
Consider this a compliment: the game is absolutely amazing and we just want to play it. The development team did an amazing job. The account registration and website design was horrible, however, and support is even more horrible. We just want to be able to play on the characters we've been playing on, and to keep our pre-order benefits.

Oh I agree that not all people are idiot and that even to those who read it could be confusing. I just know some people didn't take the time to read and when they saw it didn't even consider checking around to verify the method they were using. I feel bad for everyone however and hope this helps.
I even specifically checked when I set up my account. It showed my two characters, and I selected that service account. And then it STILL created a new one...
Post is titled "For those that failed to follow instructions." If you feel you failed to read that is on you, if you don't feel that way then this post isn't for you. It was complicated however the instructions were slightly helpful and I can see how some could still confuse the installation. The instructions were up before NA registration as I got an error telling me I had to wait to register account after I saw the instructions.
If you feel my tone was condescending in any way that is how you took it bot how it was intended. I am just tired of seeing post with cursing when instructions were out there to try to help prevent the issue. With MILLIONS of people that could have made the same error expected your issue to be resolved fast is simply silly. I am not saying that customer service is doing a good job because they aren't. I am just saying that getting irate, cursing, and blaming others is childish and pointless. Have patience and all will be resolved.
Yea, this happened to a friend of mine too. I think he can't play his account anymore after this morning because of it. Sorry to hear and hopefully they can get it fixed for you quickly.
