How should they implement Chocobos?

In Mortal Online and Ultima Online, you could go out into the wild and tame different breeds of horses. Various types of horses lived in various parts of the world, and sometimes you came across a very rare one which was worth like a bazillion dollars. So if we can't have raising of chocobos at present, it would be cool if we could catch and tame wild ones. I liked the chocobo models from Gran Pulse in FFXIII, so I hope we get a variety of breeds in FFXIV, rather than just one breed but in different colours, and they could roam differnt parts of the world, giving new meaning to exploration.

On the subject of customisation, hopefully there are other characterising features than simply colour differences. For example, different tails and different beaks and so on and so forth.
