Dragoon: Ifrits Harpoon / Allagan Tomestones

Hello!

So i finished the main story quest a few days ago and now in the processes of completing the hard mode primal's. So i have been trying since i completed the main story to get "Ifrits Harpoon". I have done it many times but it never drops. Now i understand it was going to take some grinding to get but here is my question.

Is it worth grinding for "Ifrits Harpoon" or I could just try to get "Guruda's Beak" which is a bit better.

Also, While i'm here can anyone tell me a good way to obtain Allagan Tomestones

For the Tomestones i would run both of the 4 man instances and skip most of the trash, you get some decent ilvl 55 / 60 gear and also your tomestones.

As for your weapon, i would go for the ifrit weapon since you need some decent dps for garuda, ifrit is quite easily farmed if you dont watch the chat. :°

PS: Waiting for Behemoth could be worth for you, if you get gold you can buy a decent weapon at Revenants Toll.

The Grand Company weapons are actually pretty good too. Get the Lieutenant spear from whatever grand company you're with and that'll last you through Garuda no problem. It's a teensy bit behind the Ifrit weapons in terms of overall DPS, but it's close enough where you aren't going to miss anything by skipping that tier.

And yeah, do Amdapor speedruns. You get some nice ilvl 60 gear (much stronger than AF) and tons of tomestones.

I know how you feel. I did 30 Ifrit runs after I gave up on the Harpoon. Currently I have one piece of Wyrm, 8 pieces of Darklight. Only weapon, gloves and boots are iLVL55 for me. We're currently trying to down Titan so hopefully I'll either get my Relic or Titan/Coil weapon. It's a big upgrade especially when going from iLVL55 to a garuda weapon iLVL70.

I grinded Ifrit for a long time! Especially since we have longer queues. After 30+ Runs I finally got it! Well if you have the patience go for it, just queue Ifrit while queuing for other dungeons, at least that's what I did.

I finally got it in the end ^_^.

And yes, I did do behemoth already and got 5 horns and got myself another rare with the horns.
