    2002 Error, Lobby communication error.

Ok So I was having this problem for the first day of early access, I would log and the start button was greyed out. After about a minute the 2002 error would show up and force me to close the client.

I've been using a work around, using a VPN (Spotflux) in order to access the game. With this I don't have any issues besides the servers being full from 2 PM - 11 PM CST and the dreaded 1017 "World full error"

I'm just wondering if Square Enix is planning to address this issue with the 2002 error or if there is something I can do myself to correct this problem so I'm not forced to use a vpn to play.

If you get an error without using the VPN, it's either a problem in your computers configuration, your router/firewall/modem configuration or with your ISP.

Well I turned off my firewall momentarily to test that. It's not the problem. I'm using Comcast so later tonight I'll look into the modem and ports. If that's not the case then Square Enix might has a problem with Comcast.

I suspect it's an issue with Comcast because I have no issues playing any other games - Shrugs- But like I said I'll investigate further tonight, if I find or figure out a fix so people in my situation don't need to use a vpn, I'll post it.

My girlfriend is having the same problem! She can play FF14 anywhere else, but when she went home to play, she has Comcast, she got the 2002 error. Please keep us updated if you find a fix. She already talked to Comcast and they told her everything was ok on their end (supposedly), so who knows.

Update- I installed the client on my laptop, same problem. Modem configurations look all fine. It doesn't seem like the problem is on my end at all. I'm assuming this is a Square enix needs to sort it out with comcast deal.
