Hopefully SE won't hate me for mentioning this, but in FFXI when they opened new worlds they held an emigration application, so people could transfer to the new worlds from more populated ones. I know it's crazy busy during launch, but this would really help a lot of friends and guilds split across worlds, even data centers, due to the overcrowding.

FWIW: Diabolos, Gilgamesh, Leviathan, Balmung, Excalibur, Bahamut and Chocobo have been on every "character creation restriction" list since launch. Excalibur, Chocobo and Mandragora all but one or two.

I'd like to know also because so far I was able to convince FOUR of my real life friend to buy the game only to ALL be playing on different server due to Diabolos being full. I really hope a shit load of people leave diabolos because I already have a great FC.

Ah, so not confirmed yet then. I vaguely remembered someone telling me it was going to be sometime next month, but i guess it was just a rumor.
