Mythical AFK Boot exists.

I finally got in on Excalibur for the first time since Beta 4 last night around 11 PM CST after a 300 person Queue. I wake up for work at 5:30 AM and work till 3:30 get home at 4:30... this is before "prime time" yet all the middle and high school kids must be beating me to the punch, or stay at home basement dwellers and / or handicapped folks on disability or poor families on welfare that pays more than 2 minimum full time jobs.

1017 every time...
So I finally get in! And i see all the rants on the forums about no AFK boot, so i'm like heck yeah, i'll just park my dude by the fountain and i can play after work!

...Excitedly i turn my monitor back on after work ... and the opening Cinematic is playing. it does have an AFK boot guys & gals. It might be a good hour or two i don't know.

Edit: Found out it was maintenance. Pro.

Myself and others have been able to login and walk away for hours without getting booted.
I literally played, kept myself logged in, went to sleep and was exactly the way I was the night before when I got back on my computer the next morning. I didn't even have a log notification of being AFK.
Not sure why you got booted, but it probably wasn't an AFK boot.

P.S. Sorry everyone for being one of those people that keep themselves logged in, but you do what you have to to be able to play.

I was playing from 1800 GMT until I got 90000'd out of the blue at 2200 GMT yesterday. I tried to get in every half-hour like I always do, and got back in at 2300 GMT. I then played until bedtime and logged out. OP probably experienced a random connection-to-server loss like I did.

well aint you fuckin special. Lemme tell ya something fae, bashing on handicap, povert, or people who cant afford to live outside their parents basement is something real not something to go around and pretend that they have something special going on for themselves. I did it only once and only during early access and have never done it since, so perhaps I should have said "kept themselves logged in" instead of "keep themselves logged in".
