[Suggestion] Color Blind Filters

This one believes this to be an important issue to many in game. However, it would like to point out, there is a way to change the colors in the UI, as it is fully customizable.

I hadn't looked into that much actually mostly because the main thing my wife can't see is the rings on the map and the enemy AoE ground markers which I figured couldn't be changed through the UI. But thank you!

Edit: I actually have been unable to find a way to change the color of the UI outside of the chat font colors and displayed name colors.

I completely support this, but I think a more realistic thing to look forward to OP will be addons. I am sure there will be one to change the UI and whatnot to help out those affected. Unfortunately, it will be awhile before addons are available :/

Sadly color blind addons are very rare and while they do exist I have yet to see any that add color filters. Filters are the most useful as they add ad color overlay that allows the player to see changes to the entire screen. Not just the UI but the game too, including other addons.

I believe this was addressed my Yoshi p in the beta forums. He said that they had plans to put this in game after release sometime. I'm at work right now so I can't find the quote but when I get home in two hours I'll look for the source.

Yeah I think a color blind filter would be cool to have in the game for people who are color blind, because a game like a MMO should be playable by everyone ^.^ and if TussDistaud is right, that's awesome knowing that Yoshi p working on one.

Your wife could try altering the system wide settings in the Nvidia Control Panel or ATI equivalent. You should be able to alter the gamma of each individual color channel. Nvidia includes a color band reference image. If you work with her, and tell her which one is red, she could mess with those settings to find the best combinations for her visual issues.

I had a colour blind OT in a Garuda Duty Finder the other night. He was unable to tell the difference between the red and the green tether during sister pops. A filter to assist those players would be very welcomed!
