IIRC, they already posted a comparison picture when they announced the resize. Lets just say I can actually tell a mage is doing something. I really think it was a decent addition. Not to say that they shouldn't adjust them further (like they already said they are going to do). It's not something that I could complain about

It's a nice fix. I've only messed around in combat a little bit since they added them, but it's a very good start.

Spells effect wise I've only seen Cure casted on myself so far, but I have to say it's a big improvement. Very welcome change.

A slight extension would be nice. You are right that it does take very little time for it to fade though I would hate to see them last overly long though.

I'm sure they'll extend it, if you play FFXIII, with the exception of a few ability animations, they are over pretty quickly so it seems to be running at the default duration the engine has set.

Unfortunately people will always talk about the bad before the good. No different than watching the evening news and seeing the top headlines about some double homicide or scandal and not about the firefighters who saved an entire apartment complex full of people. It's just human nature. People could use a little more positive outlook on life. Thank you for trying to add that ^_^
