    Problem registering account?

Bought my PS3 copy of FF14, set it all up, registered, I THOUGHT I had done it correctly, however, now when I click Start on the client (on my PS3) it prompts me to pick service?
I want to play on my character I already have made. How do I put this platform onto my service? It tells me I have to do so on the PS3 Network, however when I put the code in, it only prompts me to download the game, which I already have done.

Also, I should note when I try to add a PS3 service in the Mog station, all I get is:

    "Add Platform

To add the PlayStation®3 platform to this service account, you must first either purchase the digital download, or apply a registration code through the Sony Entertainment Network.
Please note that PlayStation®3 services are not accessible through this website.
Upon completing registration, the game can be installed and played as normal on your PlayStation®3. "

    P.S. I don't care about the free 30-day trial.

(I'm assuming that since you say you've already downloaded the game, that means you were in the Early Access, so your SE account is already tied to your PS3, and now you're just trying to add the full registration code. Is that right? If not, I'm not sure about the following.)

The Playstation Store always goes to the download page after entering a code, but if you already have the game software on your PS3, you can ignore that, exit the Store and just start the game. When you next start the game after entering the code, the game should prompt you as to whether you want that code to be applied to your existing service account or create a new one. (The description of your existing account includes nice recognizable things like your characters' names.)

Mmmm see, I've already registered it is the problem. When it prompted me to select a service, I selected the CORRECT one on my account, and it created a new one anyway. What I'm trying to figure out, is how to add the PS3 platform onto my current service, without having to buy another damn copy of the game

So I guess I made a mistake labeling this topic: Adding PS3 platform to current PC service help

Are you saying after all the wizards are done on your PS3. download the updates press play and when you get to the FF game window and press start and has a select service account to play like this:

    Final Fantasy XIV 1
    Final Fantasy XIV 2.

And "1" gives an error to go to mog station and add platform and crashes during the opening movie? but when you select 2 it works but your chars and other account options are gone?

Well this happened to me with a FF PC 1.0 CE legacy + pre order items service account when I tried to register the BR disk PS3 CE code. Even when I checked the radio box to put it into the SE service account that listed like all 8 other codes (legacy, betas, bounes, preorder etc all worked) but this stupid system on the PS3 messed up and made a new service account even with the radio button on my current one.

IF this is your problem? or you trying to avoid this problem?

On the huge 300+ page thread in this support form is a link to fill out to fix it but make sure you pick and fill out the one that has the problem trying to move one service account to another service account inside the same SE ID.

Unfortunately, that sounds like the problem that needs to go to their horribly backlogged account service reps to fix. The good news is that they apparently are, in fact, able to merge together accounts that they messed up like this. The bad news is that there are FAR too many people in a similar situation, so there'll be a lot of tickets ahead of yours in the queue.

I read a really nicely explained post about this earlier which I wish could have been stickied, but with the forum so busy there's lots of posts with similar search words, so I can't seem to find it now. One thing I remember is that when submitting a trouble ticket, make sure you give it the right category. There's one ticket category for accidentally created multiple SE accounts, and another one for accidentally created multiple service accounts under the same SE account. If you select the wrong category for the trouble ticket it will go to the wrong group and might get cancelled rather than forwarded to the right group.

Here's the link to the form they set up specifically for Incorrectly Registered Service Accounts:

    https://support.na.square-enix.com/c...82&la=1&daxx=2

And here's one for Incorrectly Registered Square Enix IDs:

    https://support.na.square-enix.com/c...82&la=1&daxx=1

Is it a bad sign that this comes up enough for them to need special forms for these two problems...?

Finally some one with my exact problem. Lots of reply in the big thread are its our fault for clicking the wrong add button or icon on the mog page. This is more problematic because its the PS3 interface that won't let you fix the error or apply codes but once but let you muti service accounts made. And the annoying loop of errors PS3 saying to go to mog page to fix this then the mog page saying this can only be done on PS3 is a lie. I hope this interface is fixed before PS4 or its going to happen again.
