Character Creation Stuck

It's sad that my first post has to be in the technical support forum, but it is what it is. The issue I'm having is that I'm currently stuck staring at a spinning wheel in the bottom right corner of the screen at the end of character creation. I'm hoping that maybe the server I chose just got restricted, and the game is now waiting for a free slot to open up since I had to keep refreshing the world list to finally be able to choose a world.

If anyone could offer some help or shed some light on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated, because I really don't feel like taking another hour to remake my character tomorrow night...

I had this issue earlier as well. The server my friends are on finally opened for a brief moment, and I attempted to create my character. The loading wheel in the bottom right hung around for about 20 minutes without any change in status after I had entered a name and was on the final step. Ultimately I had to force close the program, as it completely stopped responding. When I got back into the game, that character was gone, and no trace that I had even created it existed (also, the server was full again and unavailable to create a new character).

The server probably locked while you were making a character again, save your appearance data so the next time you can get it done quickly when they open.

My main question is that if I keep the screen up, will it eventually create my character when there's a free slot open, or is it glitched now and will never complete?

Also, I have his appearance data saved, in case I need to restart.

Yeah, I learned that lesson. I've been waiting with my character ready to go, and I refresh server status every 3 minutes, and the appearance data is saved in case the game locks again. Going on the 6 hour mark now.

It's possible but very unlikely.

Well, after letting it sit for about 4 hours, the verdict is that it still didn't create my character, so I just woke up earlier than planned and restarted the whole process. Luckily every NA server was available so it went smooth this time.
